Development of new Athletic Retail Chain in Russia

The Russian company, Inventive Retail Group that helps to control branded stores such as Nike, Apple and Samsung within Russia, has decided to invest around $7 Million Dollars to begin its own sporting good retail chain with its own athletic gear called Street Beat. The U.S. Trade publication, Sporting Goods Intelligence, has stated that IRG plans to open over 50 different stores within Russian cities that have a population over the 1 million mark. IRG intends their stores to be around 200 square meters in each location. During the initial part of this year, IRG increased their sales by 27%, making their sales around the $250 Million mark.
