Huge shuffle in distribution for Shimano in South East Europe

2017-01-31 source own
Recently, Shimano has been making changes in line with their new strategy and this has been seen once again after the announcement that all service, sales, and marketing activities would be transferred in Cyprus and Greece. Including Pearl Izumi, Bikefitting, and Pro, this move is said to impact all bike-related products for the company.

For over 20 years, Nikos Maniatopoulos has been in control of the distribution in the two countries and a joint statement between Eurotrade and Shimano has stated the following “During these 20 years, the company was instrumental in establishing the Shimano brand and significantly growing its market share and awareness.”

Continuing, Eurotrade confirmed their dedication to the brand - “The sole focus and absolute dedication of Eurotrade Ltd. on Shimano bicycle products and technologies guarantees the upgrade of the Shimano operation and customer experience in Greece and Cyprus.”

Over the years, Eurotrade has forged a very important relationship with Shimano and now has logistics centres as well as sales offices in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, and Slovenia. With these locations in place within the South Eastern European region, over 160 shops have been maintained since 2002.
