Just Fit Buys Two HealthCity Clubs in German City

2017-08-07 source own
As expected, the Dutch fitness giant HealthCity is now taking steps to withdraw from Germany after passing two Cologne clubs onto Just Fit. With the official acquisition set to go through in August 2018, it’s thought that the members and employees will just pass over from one company to the next; 5,000 and 35 respectively. However, their names will change to Just Fit 13 and Just Fit 15.

With the announcement, Just Fit also suggested renovations for both with improved functional areas and a Milon circle. Furthermore, Just Fit 13 will also move location into Zulpicher Platz Cologne from Barbarossaplatz. With this news, it signals Just Fit’s continued growth within Germany as well as the planned exit from HealthCity.

Currently, Just Fit is making great strides in North Rhine-Westphalia and sits as one of the largest fitness companies. In the coming months and years, the brand will expand to 65,000 members across 23 clubs; in total, these clubs operate with 800 members of staff. Even though it is still seen as a regional company, it’s starting to have the presence of a national brand.
