Lithuanias UNESCO site to become a hotel and spa
2016-10-31 source ownJust under 100km long, the peninsula by the name of the ‘Curonian Spit’ currently separates the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. However, it has now been named as the new base for a Radisson Blu hotel and spa. After already having two hotels in Vilnius and another in Klaipeda, Radisson Blu are expanding their portfolio by adding this latest hotel which will sit on the waterfront offering tremendous views of the Curonian Lagoon.
Back in 2010, the location was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site and will now play host to the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Nida Marina. Set to open in 2019, the hotel will hold over 90 bedrooms, an extensive spa, an indoor swimming pool, and leisure facilities. Based on the Curonian Split, this will be the first resort in that particular location with a ‘five star’ rating.
