Slovenia's Elan delivers sports equipment for World Men's Handball Championship arenas

The 3 multi-purpose indoor arenas in Qatar presently serving as venues for the World Men's Handball Championship are all co-equipped by the Slovenian sports equipment manufacturer Elan in a deal worth EUR 4.8m.

Elan Inventa, a subsidiary of the Begunje na Gorenjskem-based group provides equipment for 2 arenas in Doha then one in Lusail with seats, goals, telescopic stands, benches for players , tables for scorers and journalists as well as other equipment."We have shipped more than 60 containers of equipment to Qatar," head of the project Matjaž Žargi stated to the STA, adding that the sports arena equipment was installed between March and December last year .According to the contractor, this is a significant project that opens doors to additional markets in the Arab world. "It was not easy to secure the project, we needed 2 yrs together with convincing the national Olympic committee," said Elan Inventa director Miha Šter reports Slovenia Times.
