The continued expansion of Black Yak

2016-08-29 source own
Black Yak, outdoor manufacturer, wasted no time in growing and they have now become the leading brand in South Korea but how exactly was it done? Ultimately, much of their success comes down to a lack of mistakes and sensible decision-making but let’s take a deeper look.

Over the years, Black Yak has built a solid reputation in South Korea and China but it is only recently that they have delved into the North American market. Nau, an independent subsidiary of the company, has recently taken on the role of distribution and they have also managed to access a whole host of retailers across the US. For example, Sporting Life in Canada as well as backcountry in the US have helped them to grow.

In terms of Europe, they have built up a strong reputation in Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and German-speaking countries. However, just recently they announced a plan to head into the French and Portuguese markets which are said to be key to progress. Also important, their plans to reach Nordic and Benelux as well as the UK. Over time, Black Yak has grown to now hold 57 stores across North America and Europe.
