ZEG provides another Eurobike casualty

2016-10-13 source own
ZEG, the largest dealer cooperative in Europe, has announced that they will no longer be showing Hercules, Kettler, and Bulls at the next Eurobike event. Instead, the company plans to focus their attentions on their very own annual show held in Cologne. Furthermore, an in-house exhibition will be held for customers of suppliers and others who are not a member of the ZEG group.

According to Georg Honkomp, CEO of ZEG, the lack of opening hours that have been announced for next year’s event make it less attractive. In addition to this, the decrease in the amount of visitors also makes it a more sensible action to focus on their own events.

He added - “We also want to grow our increasingly successful in-house exhibition at the Cologne Trade Fair which will see its third edition in July 2017. By opening the event to non ZEG retailers and customers of our numerous suppliers and partners we have chosen for an all new approach. Our aim is to increase the importance of our in-house exhibition for the industry and create a special product experience.”

Despite the press release, no mention came of the special product which has drawn reports from all over the world. At the Cologne Trade Fair, you will find the 2017 ZEG exhibition from July 21-24.
