Geis Secures Role as Transport Partner for Sport Vision in Slovakia and Czech Republic, Enhancing Distribution Efficiency

Geis has taken on a pivotal role as the transportation partner for Sport Vision, a premier retailer of sporting goods, since August last year. This partnership involves Geis managing the logistics from Sport Vision's central warehouse in Sered, Slovakia, delivering products swiftly and reliably across all their retail locations in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. A notable enhancement in this collaboration is the implementation of a new distribution strategy that ensures deliveries within 24 hours.

Sport Vision, known for its expansive network of sports equipment, accessories, and footwear stores, has grown its presence to 12 European countries. The company's expansion in the Czech Republic and Slovakia followed the acquisition of A3 Sport, which is now fully aligned with Sport Vision's standards. To support its growth, Sport Vision sought a reliable logistics partner capable of efficiently servicing both its traditional stores and BUZZ outlets, which are favored by sneaker enthusiasts.

The partnership with Geis leverages the latter’s robust distribution network and its experience in delivering to shopping centers, enhancing the supply chain's speed and reliability. The collaboration has introduced a palletized transport solution at the central warehouse, now managed by Quehenberger—a member of the Geis Group. This shift from parcel-based solutions aims to streamline packaging, loading, and related activities, increasing overall distribution efficiency.

Mihajlo Fermevc, Head of Logistics West EU at Sport Vision, commends the partnership with Geis for its flexibility, developmental focus, and commitment to improving the supply chain. With Geis's rapid and responsive service, Sport Vision is able to meet high logistical demands, ensuring that goods are consistently available in stores without the need for large stock volumes, thereby optimizing retail space.

This strategic partnership marks a significant step for both companies, aiming to strengthen their market position in the Czech and Slovak regions through enhanced logistical operations and collaborative growth.
