Hungary; Bike Manufactures grow business in the EU countries

With the Hungarian bike market growing by 8.5% in 2020 from 220,000 units to 255,000 units the country’s bicycle manufactures are looking to further grow by taking market share in its neighbour EU countries.

In 2020 the Hungarian bike industry manufactured 390,000 bicycles with just over 74% exported with its leading markets being Germany, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland. Taiwan’s Giant opened a new factory in Hungary in 2020 with this factory alone having a reported production capacity of 300,000 units. The countries other main bike manufactures are Accell Hunland, Csepel, Gepida, Neuzer, and Koliken.Hungary is now Europe's 7th largest manufacturer of Bicycles.
