Hungary- Logistics and Retail stronghold for Eastern and Central Europe

2014-11-03 source own

When Hungary joined the EU, it begun to receive many investments from its neighbors in the west, especially the logistic providers and retail giants. Location, it seems, plays a key role in this area. Hungary borders the Schengen area and can be part of the role in the regional distribution of the Eastern and Central Europe areas. It is also a popular logistics hub for any goods that will be traveling east from any of the important Seaports in Europe and any goods that will be traveling west from the increasing manufacturing plants within the Central and Eastern European region. Manufacturing in Central and Eastern Europe has been growing due to the relocation of Western European manufactures to this part of Europe, this is because of the lower productions cost i.e lower wages, land costs etc. Central and Eastern European countries have a well educated work force due to the emphasis of the old communist system on education and more important a rapidly increasing improved infrastructure inter connecting with western Europe which has been greatly helped by funding from the European Union.
