New Balance to sponsor Lechia Gdansk

Lechia Gdansk, Polish Ekstraklasa outfit, has announced that New Balance will be supplying kits from the beginning of next season. The sportswear producers, based in the United States, will create and design all of the club’s match day kits as well as their training kits and coaching gear for the 2016/17 season. In addition to this, they will also retail all the appropriate items.
The deal is set to last until 2020, meaning that New Balance will be responsible for Lechia’s next four outfits. New Balance has seen a rise in the amount of football clients around Europe in recent years but this is their first deal in Poland; fans will be hoping that they do a good job on their famous green and white hooped shirts.
July seems to have been a good month for the American company having signed a deal with Lille, who play their football in France; Liverpool and Celtic have also extended their current deals with the company. When it comes to football, they have a deep involvement and it isn't just teams they sponsor as they also have an endorsement with Arsenal and Wales star Aaron Ramsey.
Back to Lechia and they had a good season last year after finishing fifth and therefore qualifying for the playoffs; however, they didn't quite do enough for a European spot.
