New Moscow theme park planning begins

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, has given The Goddard Group and the Moschanko Investment Group the necessary permission to start developing a new Moscow theme park thought to be valued at around €3.6 billion. Many believe that the site will one day be a unique tourist destination and as a result, will be called The Magical World of Russia. The theme park is said to represent Russia and all it has to offer for the many visitors it will attract.
It was in a recent meeting between Anatoly Artamonov, Governor of Kaluga, and President Vladimir Putin that the relevant plans and opportunities were discussed and the positive decision was reached. Over two square kilometres of space has been set aside to accommodate the new leisure destination and plans are being made to make the site accessible via numerous methods of transport including train, car, and plane.
Plans for the theme park include what could potentially become the biggest waterpark in the world as well as a number of different sections ranging from interactive displays and educational programmes. Furthermore, a number of hotels will surround the site. It is thought one of the reasons Russian figures were so keen to see the project go ahead was because of the lack of state funding involved. In fact private investors, Moschanko being the prominent figure, will be financing the whole project.
Moschanko Investment Group Founder, Gene Moshkovich, has said “I am happy to see my long-held dream of creating a true theme park and resort for Russia finally becoming a reality. From the moment I had my first idea for this park and resort, I never doubted it would be realised but I also knew I needed the best people in the themed-entertainment and design industry. For this reason, I partnered with Gary Goddard and his Goddard Group. He and his team are helping me shape my vision for this wonderful new family destination.”
