Rocky Mountain, a renowned Canadian mountain bike brand, has recently declared the acquisition of its long-term German distribution partner, BikeAction. With over 30 years of successful partnership, the merger will enable the Canadian manufacturer to enter the European market vertically. According to Rocky Mountain CEO Katy Bond, this collaboration will allow the two companies, who share a common love for two-wheelers, to have a singular and focused vision for the future.

The acquisition will bring together the loyal customer base of BikeAction in Germany, Austria, the Benelux, and other Central European countries such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia, allowing Rocky Mountain to better understand, support, and serve the riders of BikeAction's Northern European region. Rocky Mountain's Executive Chairman, Raymond Dutil, expressed his gratitude towards BikeAction, stating that the company has always played an essential role in the internationalization of their products and designs since their inception in Germany.

Going forward, BikeAction will continue to operate as a separate entity, with the backing of the Canadian headquarters, and there will be no changes to the staff or headcount. The alliance will assist in establishing a strong foundation for the Rocky Mountain brand in Europe, resulting in more people experiencing the joy of bikes.
