Slovenia; Revamped hotel opens on Rogla

The business Unitur launched a refurbished hotel within the Rogla skiing resort from the north-east of Slovenia, which was recently relaunched. The redevelopment of the hotel built in 1983 as an extension with in the Planja hotel cost EUR 3.2m which was entirely funded by Unitur.

As stated by Unitur CEO Barbara Soršak, the hotel offers 88 rooms with 176 beds. In the 35 years of its exsistence more than 260,000 guests coming from more than 90 countries that spent at least a night at the hotel.

Unitur, which celebrated their anniversary in November 2018, produced EUR 18.2m in earnings inside first 11 months of business, thats 6% more than from the corresponding period last year. Planja hotel welcomed 48,000 guests between January and November 2018.

The 2017 -18 winter sports season, which lasted 100 days, saw over 202,000 skiers ski at the Rogla resort, Soršak commented.

Unitur's executive director Aleš Slapar explained the Rogla children’s snow park was also refurbished to help promote winter sport learning making it simpler for kids, youth as well as people with disabilities.

Rogla also built a new parking lot intended for 40 visters ıncluding a new a automated system for ski maintenance.
Next summer, Unitur is going to open the first treetop walk in Slovenia on Rogla. The wooden structure that includes a 560-metre long walkway which is approximately 20 metres in the air there will also be a 35-metre observation tower with an additional 440 metre circular walkway as well as a slide down the tower structure.

The cost of the venture} is estimated to cost Euro 4.5 million.
