The outdoor show is remarkably Messe Friedrichshafen’s second biggest show which can only be matched by Eurobike. And its editions in 2019 and onwards will be moving to Messe Munich. This decision was taken by the members of the European Outdoor Group; the OutDoor Show Concept owner. Now Messe Friedrichshafen will need to organize an independent show similar to what has been done in the Eurobike show for a long time.
During the vote which led to this decision, over 50% of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) members voted to move the OutDoor Show to Munich in 2019. The events that led to this voting session include an official review which was done by the EOG regarding the future of the OutDoor Show. The EOG found it necessary to carry out a review in its bid to ensure the sustenance of the OutDoor Show as a vibrant business platform which conforms to the rapidly changing trends in the technology industry and the society.
