4 Central Europe nations bidding to host the 2021 and 2023 Handball World Championships

The International Handball Federation (IHF) has confirmed that a total of 9 countries are bidding to host the Men's and Women's World Championships in 2021 and 2023.
With the bidding process entering the final stages, the sport's world governing federation confirmed that 4 Central European countries Hungary, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland as well as Sweden and France have all forwarded expressions of interest for staging both the 2021 and 2023 men's flagship Handball World Championships, whilst Egypt is keen on the 2021 men's event and Norway and South Korea in the 2023 edition.
