H&M enjoys 50 percent increase in sales in Romania

Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) have seen a dramatic increase in their total sales figures in Romania in the first financial semester of this year, the total amount of sales amounted to nearly €90 million in the period of December to May. This was an increase of 50% when compared to the data from the same semester a year earlier. The first H&M store in Romania was opened in early 2011 and they have gone from strength to strength since then.
Between March and May alone, sales have risen by nearly €50 million, an increase of 47%. In these months, H&M managed to reinvest efficiently allowing them to open three brand new stores in Romania, meaning they now have over 40 stores across the country. They also opened new stores in many countries across Europe including; Bulgaria, Belgium and Poland. As a whole, the company reported total sales of nearly €11 billion.
