6.5% increase in sales for Intersport Austria

Good news for Intersport Austria as they posted a significant increase in sales from their previous year’s figures. Their financial year ended at the close of September and they reported a sales figure of around €500 million, a 6.5% increase from the figures twelve months earlier.
Intersport Austria, now also trading in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, believed that this was due to an increase in the rental business in Austria itself. Sales in the rental business rose by over 10% while city stores enjoyed an increase of over 7%.
The company also reinvested heavily this year by opening six new stores across Austria alone, taking their total amount up to 345 stores across the four countries. This also contributed to the ever rising amount of sales.
