Sportmaster Enjoys Growth in Russia and Ukraine

Within the CIS and Russia, Sportmaster was recently named as the number one distributor and wholesaler within the sporting goods niche. Nowadays, they distribute some of Europe’s largest brands including O’Neill, Mountain Hardwear, Roces, CAT, Columbia, Speedo, Sketchers, Molten, Merrell, Vokl, and Protest.
After success in Russia, Sportmaster recently decided to concentrate on the Ukrainian market where they have around 25 stores currently. Although the name can be found across 14 different cities, plans are in place to expand and become one of the biggest names in the Ukrainian sporting goods industry.
In 2017, Sportmaster own 475 different stores across a number of countries including Russia, China, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. As well as having access to 150 sports brands, they also have five franchise projects which has led to 230 stores; this includes Sketchers, New Era, Columbia, Sportlandia, and Weekender. Therefore, the company employs over 23,000 people which gives it a presence on the European market; 10th in Global sport retail companies and 3rd in Europe.
