Polish Government to Subsidize Electric Bikes with Up to EUR 1,175 Per Bike

The Polish government has announced plans to subsidize electric bikes through the "My Electric Bike" program. This initiative aims to reduce emissions, encourage environmentally friendly transportation, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The program will support the purchase of both bicycles and cargo bikes.
Subsidy Details
For bicycles, the government proposes subsidies covering up to 50% of the cost, capped at PLN 5,000 (EUR 1,175) per bike. The National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund has allocated a total of EUR 70.3 million in non-refundable subsidies for the period from 2025 to 2029.
Eligibility and Application
The subsidy will be granted as a refund and will apply only to new vehicles that are registered with the police and marked with a special number on the frame. Bicycles purchased on lease will not be eligible for the subsidy.
This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting sustainable transportation and improving air quality in Poland.
