AMC Develops Sports Business in Central Europe

AMC has won the team right for further counties in Central and Eastern Europe in these CE countries Slovakia and Czech Republic.

The Company which runs sports channels Sport1 and Sport2 in CEhe region, AMC now has exclusive rights to 30 matches of the Slovak national team between 2022 and 2028, the rights will also include qualifiers for the 2024 and 2028 Uefa European Championships, as well as 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers and Uefa Nations League matches and centralized friendlies.

AMC’s Package with Uefa also includes all other qualifier and Nations League matches in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Czech public-service broadcaster Česká Televize retained rights to Uefa men’s national team competitions during the 2022-28 cycle, including the Euro 2024 and 2028 tournaments, in a deal announced last month.

AMC’s portfolio in Slovakia includes rights to the Uefa Europa League, Uefa Europa Conference League, Formula 1, Copa del Rey, Coppa Italia and the EHF Champions League, amongst others.
