Darts Grows in Slovakia and Czech Republic

AMC Networks media group recently announced that it has acquired the rights to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Home Tour series in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The PDC Home Tour was introduced just this week, and allows players to compete against one another from their respective homes. This is in response to the regular season of events being cancelled due to COVID-19.AMC Networks will broadcast the Tour on both Sports1 and Sports2 along with local-language commentary. Both channels are pay-per-view.In all, the PDC Home Tour is comprised of 32 nights of live darts and features players competing via live video calls. This will mark the PDC’s first home-based event. Currently, commercial and pay-TV broadcaster Nova holds the rights for the PDC World Championship in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
