Dutch Basic-Fit planning expansion in Germany

European fitness giant Basic-Fit which is Headquartered in the Netherlands plans to open 600 sites across the German market.Fitness chain Basic-Fit has announced plans to expand into the German market. The company, which is already active in 11 European countries, said it will begin construction on the initial locations during the first half of the year. By the end of 2022, Basic-Fit said it sees the potential of having 600 clubs in Germany. This would make Germany Basic-Fit's largest market outside of the Netherlands. With over 3 million members, Basic-Fit is one of Europe's largest fitness chains and plans to bring its low prices and quality workout experience to Germans looking for an affordable way to stay fit.
The Dutch fitness chain Basic-Fit is planning an ambitious expansion in Germany. By the end of 2020, the company plans to open 300 new clubs throughout the country. This will make Germany one of the largest markets for Basic-Fit, which currently operates more than 1,000 clubs in 10 other European countries. CEO Rene Moos said that the German expansion is part of a larger growth plan for the company, which could see it operating 3,500 clubs by 2030. "We see a bright future for value-for-money fitness and the Basic-Fit proposition in particular," Moos said. "Germany is a key market for us and we growth in the fitness market across Central Europe."In November, we announced our intention of accelerating club openings to 200 to 300 a year, with the aim of growing to 2,000 clubs by 2025 and between 3,000 and 3,500 clubs by 2030 "In the 2nd quarter of 2022, we will start with the construction of the first clubs in Germany and expect to open the first ones in the 2nd half of this year. In total, we expect to be able to open 600 clubs in the German Commercial Gym market.
