Exciting renovation for Lanserhof Lans

2016-05-24 source own

The seven months between May and the end of 2016 will see a major renovation at the famous Austrian spa, Lanserhof Lans. There will be an extension to the already erected facilities as well as a completely new building by Christoph Ingenhoven, a German architect. Ingenhoven is well-known to the facility as a regular visitor and has already laid out plans for the building.

With a grassy roof, the new oval building is set to house 16 rooms, all of which having a spectacular view of the Nordkette and the surrounding mountains. On the ground floor, a seawater pool which can be accessed both inside and out as well as a sauna will be found.

Ingenhoven has said “Guests can expect to find a completely refreshed Lanserhof. There will be more space and a wealth of new details. The new bathhouse is a sensation, with its heated saltwater pool and sauna complex. There will also be rooms and suites, some of which will have their own roof terrace.”

Of course, the focus of the new-build will be on relaxation but the architect also wants it to be a place in which visitors can open their heart and soul. For this reason, there will also be a focus on harmonious forms, natural materials and transparency. The extension will also see the introduction of an events space, a restaurant, more treatment rooms, a cryotherapy chamber with three separate rooms, and more.

Whilst the construction and the extension takes place, Schwarzer Adler who are housed nearby, will take the Lanserhof’s place until completion. The famous ‘LANS Med Concept’ will also be carried over during this time period.
