Forty Management proudly announces the grand opening of Lagoon Park Bucharest, Europe's inaugural Public Access Lagoon (PAL) project, set for June 12. This innovative transformation of an industrial site into a vibrant urban beach represents a significant investment of 33 million euros.

Lucian Azoiței, CEO of Forty Management, emphasized the unique appeal of Lagoon Park Bucharest, stating, "This is the first artificial urban beach in a European capital, offering a serene escape from city life. Our project seamlessly blends technology and nature, converting a 40,000 sqm abandoned industrial area into a lush urban oasis. The park features a stunning 10,000 sqm turquoise lagoon with an average depth of 2 meters, 11,000 sqm of white sandy beaches, 1,150 sun loungers and umbrellas, two restaurants, 280 public parking spaces, a Lexus car showroom, and numerous other amenities, including water sports and our own LagoonRadio station."

Jean Pierre Juanchich, Global Business Director of Crystal Lagoons, highlighted the strategic partnership with Forty Management. "We've identified unparalleled business opportunities across Europe, and Forty Management is the ideal partner to advance Crystal Lagoons' innovations into new markets. Their expertise in sustainable and green development has fostered a long-term partnership. I am confident our collaboration will yield significant benefits, creating dynamic communities in Europe's most remarkable cities, positively impacting local economies and leisure tourism."

Forty Management's impressive portfolio includes eight Lagoon City mixed-use projects and 11 Public Access Lagoon projects in six other countries—Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, France, and Spain. Additionally, they are developing three luxury hotels with a total of 702 rooms: Radisson Lagoon and Central District Hotel – Crest Collection in Bucharest, and the Swisshotel Hotel in Lagoon City Budapest.

Key Features of Lagoon Park Bucharest:

  • Turquoise Lagoon: 10,000 sqm with an average depth of 2 meters
  • White Sandy Beaches: 11,000 sqm
  • Amenities: 1,150 sun loungers and umbrellas, two restaurants, 280 public parking spaces, a Lexus car showroom, and water sports facilities
