Frankfurt welcomes Europe’s highest fitness club

Many companies have attempted to open the largest health club in the past but that wasn't the aim for Frankfurt this week, they have just opened the doors to the ‘highest’ health club in Europe. Open mainly for businessmen and women in the area, Prime Time Fitness has exercise space set out over the 53rd and 54th floors of the famous Main Tower. Based in the centre of the city, this will be Prime Time Fitness’s sixth club in the banking capital of Germany.

It is thought that the health club sits around 200m from the ground floor meaning that users will enjoy a stunning view over the heart of the city. In total, there is nearly 5,500 square feet of space for users including many top-of-the-range machines.

Henrik Gockel, Managing Director of Prime Time, has said “When you work out at height you get very relaxed because you are far above your daily tasks and problems. You are able to observe the hectic pace of life - and the traffic jams - from far above and think to yourself ‘what for?’. After the workout and after the escape from reality, you will feel strengthened and are able to dive back in again.”

The Central Business District (CBD) will be the target for this particular branch of Prime Time Fitness and they will be offering personal training sessions as well as individual training to make it happen; memberships will cost around €100 per month but will boast access to treadmills, bikes, steppers, and more, all provided by Cybex and Matrix. In addition to this, there is also an 11-station Milon circuit and an area for strength training. In the latter, members will benefit from free weights and machines along with benches and racks. Finally, an 850 square foot training area will allow for a number of different activities whilst also enjoying a full experience thanks to the Activio heart rate machines in place.

Gockel has also noted how they want to limit the amount of memberships given out - “We will look to cap the number of members at around 500. For the monthly membership, each member gets six one-to-one sessions per year.”
