Germany and Europe’s largest E-bike battery supplier is once again reaching its production capacity. This year, in order to have the capacity to fulfill the still growing demand for Ebike lithium-ion batteries, BMZ GmbH is actually planning new manufacturing infrastructure, as part of an investment program that continues until 2020.

BMZ general manager, Sven Bauer, stated, ‘We will continue to expand manufacturing activities in Germany.”

Just 4 years after the present manufacturing facilities were built, BMZ is setting the wheels in motion for a 45 million euro investment schedule for the extension of their research and development production capacities, at the company's headquarters in Germany. The first two of a total of 6 new production lines, as well as a laboratory, and office premises are going into operation in 2015; the official groundbreaking ceremony was on February 2nd, 2015.
With the intention of generating the necessary production functionality, the company, which also has its own assembly facilities in China, Poland, and the USA, BMZ wants to continue to invest heavily above all in its industrial base in Germany in the coming years. "Apart from the most advanced equipment in addition to a well-functioning manufacturing infrastructure, this is exactly what a high- tech company like BMZ requires above all else, as well as highly motivated and well-qualified employees.
