Henri-Lloyd Expands Adriatic Presence with Yachting Mission 524 as Exclusive Distributor for Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro

Henri-Lloyd, the iconic British marine apparel brand, has strengthened its presence in the Adriatic region by appointing Yachting Mission 524 as its exclusive distributor for Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro. Founded by Olympic Finn sailor Ivan Kljaković Gašpić, Yachting Mission 524 is headquartered in Split, where a brand-new showroom now showcases the full range of Henri-Lloyd’s premium sailing clothing, technical gear, and marine accessories.
The latest Henri-Lloyd collection features advanced technical innovations, including PFC-free and recycled waterproof fabrics, 4-way stretch materials, ergonomically tailored designs, taped seams, enhanced all-round vision hoods, high-visibility patches, and built-in UV50 sun protection. This last feature is especially important in the Adriatic’s sunny climate. “As a lifelong sailor, I always wear full UV protection,” says Gašpić. “Henri-Lloyd’s UV50 Dri Fast clothing is exactly what sailors need to stay comfortable and protected.”
Beyond retail distribution, Gašpić plans to collaborate directly with yachting companies, sailing teams, and regatta organisers across the region. “Croatia is one of the world’s top sailing holiday destinations, home to the largest bareboat charter fleet and over 400 registered regattas annually,” he explains. “These events present a perfect opportunity to showcase Henri-Lloyd as premium team wear and branded corporate sailing apparel.”
James Tinkler, International Sales Manager at Henri-Lloyd, says: “The Adriatic is a growing hub for sailing tourism and competitive regattas. Partnering with Yachting Mission 524 ensures our brand is represented by a trusted local expert with strong industry connections.”
Earlier this year, Yachting Mission 524 attended Henri-Lloyd’s 2025 International Sales Meeting in London, previewing the upcoming technical and leisure wear collections ahead of their official launch at METS Trade in November.
For Gašpić, this partnership is also personal. “Henri-Lloyd supported me during my Olympic sailing career, and I still have some of my gear from that time—it still performs perfectly. Working with them again feels like coming full circle.” Gašpić represented Croatia in the International Finn class at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games, competing against fellow Henri-Lloyd wearer Sir Ben Ainslie.
With this new distribution agreement, Henri-Lloyd is poised to make an even greater impact in the Croatian, Slovenian, and Montenegrin sailing markets, bringing cutting-edge technical clothing to sailors, yacht crews, and marine enthusiasts throughout the Adriatic.
