According to reports, Russia have had to increase spending on the 2018 World Cup by 19 billion Rubles (over €300 million). Originally, the event was set to cost €9.7 billion but over time this has increased to well over €10 billion. However, there has been no explanations from the organisers just yet as to the reasons for the rise.
