LifeFit Group is rapidly expanding the Club Pilates brand across Germany and Austria, following its successful introduction of Xponential's reformer Pilates concept in Germany last year. As the master franchisor for Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, LifeFit Group is committed to broadening the brand's presence in these regions.
The inaugural German Club Pilates studio opened in May 2023 in Frankfurt-Bornheim, followed by a location in Königstein. In June 2024, the first of four planned studios commenced operations in Hamburg, with the remaining three set to open in the subsequent months. Additional studios are scheduled for various German cities in the coming year.
"The studios that have opened so far are performing even better than expected," stated Christophe Collinet, Chief Commercial Officer of LifeFit Group and Managing Director of LifeFit Group Franchise. "We believe Club Pilates has great potential to expand in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands."
Club Pilates offers classes at €29 per session, with membership options providing eight visits per month starting at €149. The Club Pilates Teacher Training program, comprising 500 hours of classroom instruction, independent study, and online learning, has received recognition from the German Pilates Association.
According to the ClassPass Trend Report for 2023, Pilates emerged as the most popular workout worldwide, with bookings on the platform increasing by 92% compared to the previous year. With over 850 franchise studios, Club Pilates continues to be a rapidly growing boutique Pilates concept, having recently debuted in London.
In a strategic move to support its growth trajectory, LifeFit Group is in the process of being acquired by Waterland Private Equity Investments from Oaktree Capital. This acquisition is expected to bolster the company's expansion plans.
Concurrently, Xponential Fitness is undergoing leadership changes, with the departure of CEO Anthony Geisler and the appointment of new CEO Mark King, signaling a new chapter for the company.
