Major Tourism Project Completed in the Czech Republic: A New Attraction in Dolni Morava
2024-04-03 source ownDolni Morava, a quaint village nestled at the base of the Śnieżnik Mountains in the Czech Republic, with a population nearing 300, has long been a favored destination for tourists. The village is renowned for its vibrant cycling and hiking trails during the warmer months, and its bustling ski lifts and slopes in the winter season.
To cater to the growing influx of tourists, the village has seen significant enhancements in its tourist infrastructure over the years. Since 2011, the Wiegand-Alpine Coaster has been a major attraction, drawing visitors from far and wide. Adding to the allure, a breathtaking Skywalk was introduced in 2015, offering unrivaled views of the Śnieżnik Mountains, alongside a sprawling water park for children and a military museum.
In response to the surge in tourism and the high visitor turnout at its attractions, the operators of the Alpine Coaster Dolni Morava I have embarked on an ambitious expansion with the construction of a second toboggan run. This new addition boasts remarkable features, making it one of the top five longest toboggan runs globally, stretching over 4 kilometers in length and descending nearly 3,000 meters down the mountainside.
The ride is engineered for thrill-seekers, with six bridges, three roundabouts, and numerous bends and jumps, providing an exhilarating adventure. To accommodate the 362-meter elevation change, three lift systems have been integrated, and over 100 sledges are available for enthusiasts. A state-of-the-art distance control system has been implemented to maximize safety, complemented by a novel garage system for efficient toboggan storage, elevating the visitor experience to new heights.
