McFit, a prominent European fitness chain, has launched its first renovated gym in Munich's Laim district, initiating a comprehensive, multi-million-euro brand refresh. This initiative includes plans to modernize three additional Munich locations in the near future.

Stephan Pallmann, Director of Brand and Customer Management at RSG Group, emphasized the significance of this modernization effort, stating, "The modernization offensive in Munich is an important step for the McFit brand and a strong signal for the future. We are certain that the fresh look and new ideas will offer great added value for our members."

The redesigned Laim studio features a contemporary aesthetic, utilizing materials like steel, concrete, and wood to create a bright and welcoming environment. A dedicated women's area has been introduced, equipped with specialized machines such as the booty booster, standing abduction, and glute booster rack, alongside functional training equipment. Members can also enjoy approximately 25 weekly classes and a unique addition—a table tennis table for recreational play.

The facility's endurance zone boasts 20 treadmills and seven Climb Mills, complemented by a functional training area, strength training section with half racks, and an extensive selection of 70 pairs of dumbbells and resistance machines.

Walter Schromm, McFit's District Manager, expressed his satisfaction with the new concept's implementation, stating, "I have personally been closely involved in the long-term development of the McFit brand and am now all the more pleased that the new concept in Munich is one of the first locations to be implemented across the board in the studios."

The next renovated McFit gym is scheduled to open in Munich's Forstenried district by the end of November.

Established over 25 years ago, McFit operates 230 studios across Germany, Austria, and Italy, making it one of Europe's largest fitness communities. In December 2023, McFit partnered with Aldi Sports to offer pre-paid membership cards available at Aldi South stores and through the Aldi Sports app, providing customers access to all German McFit studios. This collaboration aims to broaden the brand's reach and accessibility.

RSG Group, McFit's parent company, also owns other notable fitness brands, including Gold's Gym and John Reed.
