Pon.Bike to open state of the art factory in Lithuania which will help with their supply chain, Construction of the new CEE bike manufacturing facility has started. The factory is located in the Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone (FEZ) and is expected to be built in the summer 2024.

Pon.Bike Lithuania factory will employ 300 by the time the factory opens and then increasing to 600 at a later date. Pon.Bike will manufacture their brands Gazelle, Kalkhoff, Focus and Urban Arrow at their Central Eastern European factory.

The city of Kėdainiai, Lithuania is about to become a hub for bicycle production with the opening of Pon.Bike’s new factory. Janco van der Heiden, Pon.Bike’s Vice President for Operations, announced the plan to produce hundreds of thousands of high-quality bicycles at the site, which will make Lithuania famous in this field throughout Europe and the world. Let’s take a look at why this is such an important move for the city and its people.

New Jobs for Kėdainiai Residents

The new factory will create hundreds of jobs in the region, giving locals more employment opportunities and helping them to support their families. This will have a positive impact on the economy as money circulates through businesses and local services in the area. It will also provide a boost to tourism, as more people visit Kėdainiai to explore what it has to offer.

Strengthening Manufacturing Capacity in Europe

By producing bicycles closer to customers, Pon.Bike can gain control over their supply chain while also providing faster shipping times and better customer service. This will benefit all customers by providing them with higher quality products that arrive quickly and reliably without the hassle of long wait times or unreliable shipping services from other parts of the world. Furthermore, manufacturing locally reduces emissions from transportation costs associated with shipping from other countries or continents.

Better Quality Bicycles for Everyone

The most important part of this announcement is that Pon.Bike’s new factory will be producing high-quality bicycles that are sure to please customers all over Europe and beyond. With increased control over their supply chain, Pon Bike can ensure that every bicycle meets their strict standards for performance and durability before it leaves the factory floor—which means customers can rest assured knowing they are getting top-of-the-line bikes every time they buy one from Pon Bike!

The opening of Pon Bike’s new factory in Kėdainiai marks an important milestone for both Lithuanians and cyclists around the globe alike—it provides hundreds of new jobs in an area that could use them, strengthens manufacturing capacity in Europe by increasing control over supply chains, and ensures that customers get only the highest quality bicycles available on the market today.
