Porsche Continues as European Open’s Title Sponsor

Car manufacturer Porsche will be the title sponsor of the popular European Tour golf event, European Open, until 2020. It was also announced that the tournament’s third edition will take place in a new venue. From July 26 to July 30, the 2017 Porsche European Open will be held on the Nord Course at Green Eagle Golf Courses.

According to European Tour’s marketing head Detlev von Platen, the remarkable way that the Porsche European Open has grown in the first 2 years has exceeded their expectations. He added that the event is synonymous with great sport and provides visitors with a very emotional brand experience. According to Detlev, they are pleased to be able to continue to provide golf enthusiasts with world class golf. He stated that the new location in Hamburg is of great importance to Porsche as it the city doesn’t just have a long golfing tradition, but many of their customers also reside in the area.
