2015-06-10 source own
Sporting goods consumers in Germany are more price conscious when it comes to this category, in comparison to all other product categories. Included in the outcomes of the report “Black Box Online Shopping – Sport- und Outdoorartikel”, performed by the consultancy company, Konzept & Markt, which surveyed 1 ,000 internet shoppers,  26 % of them purchased one or more sporting goods items, and over a 1 year period had spent on average of €203. Generally, this is considerably less, compared to other product categories, since general consumption via the web was €360.
A total of 58 % of those surveyed, who purchased sporting goods on the web, declared that the most competitive price was more essential than the product choices offered by a particular web shop. The most popular internet platforms are Amazon, where 60 % of the clientele bought one or more sporting goods items, followed by eBay, with 36 %. The leading online German specialty sporting goods store is Sport Scheck, as outlined by the report.

The report, which is offered here examines an array of elements of internet shopping for sporting goods in Germany, such as customer behavior, a comparison of prices online and offline, as well as the importance of “Click & Collect”, which happens to be regarded as popular amongst buyers of goods at online sporting goods stores, compared to other market sectors.
