Taiwan Company opens EU battery factory in Czech

Taiwanese company Darfon Energy Technology (DET) an independent branch of the Darfon group has just opened a new factory for the production of high-quality battery and charger solutions for the e-bike market. The new manufacturing of the Taiwan e-bike brand is located in the Czech Republic this is there first factory in Central and Eastern European.

CEE battery factory for e-bikes

In response to rapidly growing demand for e-bikes, Darfon Energy Technology Corp. has officially opened its new factory for e-bike batteries in Cvrcovice, Czech Republic in Central and Eastern Europe. This new automated factory is scheduled to start its pilot run for new production lines in June 2023 and will have a capacity of up to 300,000 sets annually starting in 2024. Customers are expected to benefit from the factory expansion with more flexibility and less lead times. With this new investment, Darfon reinforces its position as one of the leading global suppliers of lithium-ion battery systems.

Darfon Energy Technology Corp., a Taiwan company specializing in lithium ion battery systems, has officially opened a new battery factory for electric bikes (e-bikes) in Cvrcovice, 30 km from Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. The 17,600 square meter facility includes automated production lines for e-bike batteries and is expected to start full operations by June 2023. With this investment, Darfon strengthens its position as one of the leading global suppliers of lithium ion battery systems and reaffirms its commitment to meeting increasing customer demand for electric bicycles. Thanks to this latest development, customers can look forward to even more flexibility and shorter lead times when it comes to procuring high quality e-bike batteries in Central Europe.
