In order to ‘protect the brand’, Tubus has announced that they will be going dealer direct on the home market. Over the years, Tubus has built a solid reputation as a manufacturer of reliable high-end bicycle luggage carriers but they have now decided to distribute via retailers rather than wholesalers. As well as strengthening their brand name, Tubus also believes that this will strengthen their retailers. In terms of the German market, this change will take effect on October 1st. Additionally, Tubus also announced that there will be a streamlining of their products and that they will continue to invest to bring the highest possible quality.
Racktime, Tubus’ second brand, were quick to announce that their strategy would remain untouched. Thanks to a larger product range, Racktime has seen steady growth in recent times and this is set to continue into the future.
