When it comes to the brake calipers, these fall in line with the current DEORE XT components for those who prefer an aggressive riding style. Offering the ICE TECHNOLOGIES brake management system from Shimano, the brakes excel in caliper design, pads, and compatible rotors.

Shimano Steps MTB![]() ![]() Shimano has announced their new product to enter the market in the shape of the Shimano Steps MTB. e-MTB’s have received a popular reputation of late because they allow for different abilities of riders and different terrains. The strain of climbing large hills is removed making the downhill journeys that little bit more enjoyable.
The new product packs a E8000 drive unit and is said to provide a ‘natural feeling for the rider’; riders also have better manoeuvrability thanks to a more efficiently designed frame. This is the closest to a regular bike that any company has come so far and the difference could prove vital in the industry. The user will also be able to utilise three different settings depending on their journey and what the terrain will offer; boost, trail and eco. |
