Gonso celebrates its 90-years existence How it all began How it all began Johannes Gonser senior founded one of 200 small sewing rooms on the Swabian Alb in 1926 which was taken over by his grandson Hans Gonser in the postwar years. He was the first entrepreneur who produced under the name "GONSO" functional clothing for fitness and running with the highly functional yarn DUNOVA developed by Bayer. In the sixties, he launched the first own collection. GONSO has been concentrating on the core business cycling since the eighties and produces climate neutralizing and highly elastic jerseys of the latest nylon yarns. Hans Gonser being a passionate cyclist did decisive pioneer work further to breathable and skin sensitive seat pads: the bike pants with integrated seat pad were born and the G-logo became a trademark for professionals and amateur athletes.
